Cookies & device storage

PostHog analytics on this site writes nothing to your device — it's cookieless and held in memory only, for the length of one page load. Separately, the site itself stores your pick and signup choice locally, so revisiting doesn't reset what you've already told it. That storage is listed below.

1. Functional storage — first-party, no tracking

This site uses localStorage (not cookies) to remember your own choices on this device:

Key	What it stores, and why
`muretto_pick_<race>`	The driver you picked for that race — so a revisit shows your call instead of asking again.
`muretto_signup_<race>`	A flag marking that you've already submitted the notify form for that race, so revisits show "you're on the list" instead of the form again.
`muretto_notify_queue`	A signup that failed to reach our server, held so it can retry automatically on your next visit.

Type: localStorage, no cookies. Expiry: none automatic — a value stays until it's overwritten by a new pick or signup, or until you clear this site's data in your browser. Shared with anyone: no — none of these values are sent to PostHog, Vercel Web Analytics, or anywhere else; muretto_notify_queue is only ever sent to /api/notify, this site's own endpoint, and only once, when it succeeds. How we treat it: as strictly necessary for the functionality you're using — remembering your own choice on this device — so we don't ask for consent before writing it. Nothing here is used to measure or analyse your behaviour.

2. Tracking storage — would require consent

Empty. This site has no tracking cookies and writes no persistent, cross-visit tracking identifier to your device today. A second tier — an opt-in checkbox at signup enabling identified tracking — is planned but doesn't exist yet, so there's nothing to list here. When it ships, whatever storage it uses will be added to this table before it goes live, not after.

3. Managing storage in your browser

You can inspect or clear this site's local storage from your browser's developer tools or site-settings panel (in most browsers: site information → cookies and site data → manage/clear). Clearing it resets your pick and signup state here, but has no effect on any data already stored with PostHog or Resend — see the Privacy Policy for that, and how to reach us about it.
