"Muretto Box" is the name of the project and the site. It is operated by a natural person, not a company.
Muretto Box is a tool for the statistical analysis and simulation of Formula 1 race outcomes, published for information and entertainment. It estimates things like the probability that a given driver finishes first, compares drivers against each other, and preserves those estimates so they can be read back against what actually happened.
Every number published here is the output of a statistical model. Model outputs are probabilistic, not predictions of results: a driver given a high probability of winning can lose, and a driver given a low one can win. A single race result does not, by itself, establish whether a probability was well calibrated. Whether the model's estimates are any good is a question that can only be answered by looking at a large enough set of them together, not by any one outcome.
The analyses are provided without warranty as to their accuracy, completeness or timeliness. They depend on input data that may itself be incomplete or revised, and on modelling assumptions that are deliberately simplified. Nothing published here should be treated as a statement of fact about a future event, and no decision with consequences for you should rest on it.
This is not a betting service, and it is not a tipster service. It is a structural property of the product, not a matter of wording:

Muretto Box is an independent, unofficial project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or connected in any way to Formula 1, Formula One World Championship Limited, the FIA, any competing team, any driver, or any other rights holder in the sport.
All trademarks, trade names, team names and driver names referred to on this site remain subject to the rights of their respective holders. They are used here purely for descriptive and editorial purposes — to identify the real-world people and teams the analysis is about — and that use implies no licence, commercial relationship or endorsement in either direction.
This site deliberately uses no official Formula 1 or team assets: no championship or team logos, no official photography, and no livery imagery. Team colours appear only as plain interface colours used to tell drivers apart. The only brand mark on the site is the operator's own.

The software, the original text, and the arrangement and selection of content on this site are protected to the extent applicable law provides. Where the statutory conditions for it are met, the underlying database is also protected under the sui generis database right.
No exclusive rights are claimed over the underlying sporting facts themselves — results, timings, classifications — which remain public.
The service is currently provided free of charge. No payment is taken, and there is no subscription or paid tier.
The service is under active development. Features may be added, changed or removed, and the site may be interrupted, suspended or discontinued at any time, without notice. Analyses are published on a best-effort basis around each race weekend; there is no commitment to any publication schedule.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the operator is not liable for any decision you take on the basis of the analyses published here, nor for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the site, nor for interruptions in its availability.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where the law does not allow it to be excluded or limited — in particular liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for wilful misconduct or gross negligence.
If you are a consumer, your mandatory rights under consumer protection law are unaffected by these terms.
These terms are governed by Italian law. If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer law of your country of residence, nor of your right to bring proceedings before the courts of that country.
